Until year 1922, Garnett, Kansas USD #365 students in grades 9 - 12 attended classes in rooms on the top floor of what today is Irving Primary Center. Then a High School building was constructed on North Oak Street in Garnett. This building served as Garnett High School until the new Anderson County Junior-Senior High School was built west of town on highway K-31 in 1992, thus moving the term Garnett High School into antiquity. The former GHS building, shown above, is now known as Garnett Elementary School.
This web site is dedicated as an online gathering place for all those individuals who attended GHS. We have a message forum for group discussion of appropriate items. A limited number of free POP3 email accounts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests should be sent to the webmaster, richard.zastrow@ghsclassmates.com.
